Space is not empty. It holds a measurable fluid, the Ether Plenum, and every body that radiates drives it outward. By Newton’s third law the Plenum pushes back. That returning load is gravitation.
From that one idea the book rebuilds gravity from the ground up: starlight bending past the Sun, the slow turn of Mercury’s orbit, clocks running slow at the foot of a tower, spinning masses dragging the Plenum around them, and the dark circle at the heart of a black hole. Every one is worked through to a number, and every number is checked against measurement.
The forty chapters run in the order the argument demands. The Argument in Eleven Parts opens the volume with the whole thesis and its evidence on the table before the first chapter begins. The Parts follow: The Program, History, The Plenum, The Law, Statics, Dynamics, The Strong Field, Cosmology and Constitution, The Limits of the Postulates, Critics and Counterpoints, and Evidence, Method and Record; and ten appendices close it, from the derivation end to end to the index of formulas.
It also does what few books on gravity dare: it prints its failures. Four routes to the framework’s coupling were attempted and closed, and each is written up in full beside the results that stand. The strongest objections get their own Part, stated at full strength and answered.
